"I like to design and make pottery that is decorative as well as useful. Observing wildlife in the garden and watching sea birds at the ocean, are favorite pastimes that inspire me to incorporate the look of nature on my pottery. I draw from the varied color palette of the sea, sand and shells that are found around my original coastal Massachusetts home.
After receiving my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Drake University, my family and I started a pottery studio and shop. Seawind Pottery is the name we gave to the business and I use the same name for my collections today. For the last 26 years, I have been primarily making dinnerware and serving pieces such as platters, trays, mugs and teapots."
