"This sculpture, which is hand built using two different clay bodies, is a departure from my usual use of straight lines and geometric shapes. It is inspired by the work of one of my favourite musicians, Billy Joel - the inimitable "Piano Man".

Having immigrated to Canada from England after a career in the corporate and financial world I decided to rediscover my creative side by taking a handbuilding class at Pine Tree Potters' Guild. I soon became hooked on clay and have now been a member of the Guild for 7 years and am a regular participant in Guild activities and sales."
