Sheena Griffith

Sheena is a native of Scotland who emigrated to Canada with her family in 1951. Always having had an interest in working with her hands, she gravitated to clay work at Sir Sanford Fleming College in Peterborough, Ont. in 1977. Presently working from her studio in Aurora, Sheena is most interested in producing functional pottery for use in the home.

As an active member and teacher at Pine Tree Potters' Guild in Aurora, she receives inspiration and education through the many workshops and lectures hosted by the guild.

As mother and grandmother of a large family, Sheena enjoys cooking and discovered many years ago, the pleasures of using hand made crockery in the kitchen. Now she has many hundreds of pots in other peoples' kitchens and her joy is in knowing that her work is being used.
