Christina Kerr

Christina has always had as strong love of the arts, both appreciating it and
creating it. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Plattsburgh State University of New York with a focus on drawing and painting. While studying there she took many courses in printmaking and ceramics and fell in love with both mediums. She has taken courses at OCAD, Toronto School of the Arts and open Studio to continue to fine tune her techniques and learn new mediums.

Christina joined Pine Tree Potters Guild in 2019 and she reignited her passion for creating handcrafted ceramic pieces. Her work is inspired by nature often depicting wildlife or natural elements drawing from her experience with drawing and printmaking.

Christina currently works in the arts at the McMichael Canadian Art Collection and serves as the class coordinator at the guild. She lives and works in her home in Georgina where she has a small studio. Christina recently began teaching kids and teen camps at the guild and thoroughly enjoys connecting with the next generation of ceramic artists!
