Lisa-Marie Oliphant

Pine Tree Potters' Guild (PTPG) provided Lisa-Marie with her introduction to pottery making in January 2017 through a beginner's hand-building class, lead by fellow PTPG potter and artist, Linda Szoldatits. As a long time admirer (and purchaser) of pottery, the experience of learning to make pottery felt amazing. After a year of handbuilding, she expanded into wheel thrown pottery making, thanks to fellow PTPG member and educator, Teresa Dunlop and became a member of PTPG in January 2018. Lisa has been actively involved at PTPG supporting various guild roles, events and initiatives, while continuing to develop in the craft. She has been Chair of the Guild's Annual Empty Bowls fundraiser (2021 - 2025), has maintained their social media pages and is now one of the Teachers of Guild classes.

 

Lisa-Marie is active in the community, teaching workshops at cafes or at personal social spots/gatherings. She truly enjoys sharing her passion for pottery making and facilitating creative social outings, making pottery accessible to those interested in trying something new.
