Move beyond the cylinder and discover the creative possibilities of thrown and altered pottery. In this six-week intermediate course, students will explore techniques for transforming wheel-thrown forms into distinctive functional and decorative pieces. Projects may include butter dishes, covered casseroles, vases, and other altered vessels designed to express your own artistic style.

Through demonstrations, guided studio time, and constructive group critiques, you’ll learn how to refine proportions, explore form, and develop a more personal approach to your work. This class is ideal for potters who are comfortable throwing basic forms and are ready to expand their skills while building confidence in their own creative voice.

***Registration is a 2 step process: Payment and Registration Form must be completed to hold a spot.

*Prerequisite: Intermediate wheel throwing experience. Students should be able to consistently throw basic cylinders and bowls independently.
